Three sips and you're done

Step 1 Press and hold the wallpaper image (below the text) Long-press anywhere on the image until a menu pops up. If nothing happens, you pressed too gently. You're not handling a sleeping cat — give it a real hold.

Step 2 Tap "Save to Photos" Hit Save to Photos from the menu. The wallpaper is now chilling in your Camera Roll, right next to seventeen blurry photos of your lunch.

Step 3 Open the Settings app You know the one — grey icon, little gear, looks like it means business. It does.

Step 4 Tap Wallpaper → Add New Wallpaper Scroll down, tap Wallpaper, then hit Add New Wallpaper. Yes, it's buried a bit. Apple designed this during a board meeting, probably.

Step 5 Choose from Photos Select Photos, find the wallpaper you just saved, and reposition it until it looks exactly right. Then do it three more times anyway, because that's just how this works.

Step 6 Tap "Add" and pick where to apply Choose Lock Screen, Home Screen, or Both. Tap Set. Put your phone down. Pick it up immediately to admire it. Repeat.

Hot tip — Download using Safari, not Chrome. Safari saves the full resolution straight to your Photos. Chrome will give you something that looks like it was exported in 2009. You didn't come this far for a blurry wallpaper.
